Leaks during or shortly after installation are typically due to improper installation.
Here are common causes for leaks and how to solve them:
-
Missing Silicone Ring: The top of the Filterbaby Diamond Series Shower Filter has a black silicone ring pre-loaded into it. If it is missing, check the tip of the shower arm and the box for the ring. If you're unable to find it, email help@filterbaby.com for assistance.
-
Missing Plumber's Tape: For leak-proof installation, you should have plumber's tape on your shower arm and the bottom tip of your Filterbaby (where your shower head is installed on the shower filter.) Wrap the plumber's tape 2-3 around the outside threads before screwing the filter onto the shower arm and your shower head onto the shower filter.
-
Loose Filter Housing Cap: Check the filter housing cap where you change the filter refill. The housing cap is located at the bottom of your shower filter for most models. (If you received a white housing cap key, your housing cap is at the bottom. If you receive a metal wrench, your housing cap is located at the top.)
