What’s an in-line shower filter?

An in-line shower filter installs between your shower arm and showerhead, filtering water before it reaches the shower. It helps reduce common tap water contaminants like chlorine and chloramine while allowing you to keep your existing showerhead. Can I install Filterbaby shower filters with a ball-style shower arm?

Yes, with an adaptor Filterbaby shower filters can be installed on ball-style shower arms. Ball-style shower arms are uncommon, but were produced by some brands in the 1970s and 1980s. Please note that for in-line shower filters, your showerhead will need to be replaced with a standard showerhead for proper installation. You can find the required adaptors here

I lost my wrench. How can I open my shower filter?

No problem. If you’ve misplaced the included wrench, you can use a standard adjustable wrench to carefully loosen the lid. To protect the finish, place a towel or cloth between the wrench and the filter before turning. Make sure the filter is dry, and turn the lid slowly using steady pressure. If the lid feels stuck, this is often due to mineral buildup and can usually be resolved with gentle force.
