What should I do if my Filterbaby Diamond Series lid is stuck or won't open?

We know this can be frustrating, especially when you’re trying to change your refill. In most cases, this can be resolved by removing your Filterbaby Diamond Series from your shower and allowing it to dry for 12-24 hours before opening the lid.

  • Use the included wrench to gently loosen the lid.

  • If you no longer have the wrench, a standard adjustable wrench will work.

  • The lid can sometimes feel stuck due to normal use or mineral buildup—this is common.

After opening the lid:

  • Clean the threads with warm, soapy water or a mild descaler like vinegar or citric acid.

  • Rinse thoroughly and dry completely with a towel before reinstalling the lid.

  • Keeping the threads clean and dry between refill changes helps prevent sticking over time.
