Will the Skincare Faucet Filter Fit My Rectangular or Square Aerator Faucet?

No, Filterbaby is not compatible with rectangular or square aerators. Our system is designed exclusively for round aerators and cannot be adapted to work with non-circular shapes. However, most faucet aerators are circular and Filterbaby fits 98% of faucets with a round aerator tip. How To Tell If Your Aerator Is Round Look at your faucet tip. If you have a round circular piece at the tip where the water comes out, you have a round aerator. Some faucets that are shaped in a rectangular or square shape at the end still have round aerators, so be sure take a look at the underside of your faucet to confirm! Why Round Aerators Only? Our adaptor system is engineered for circular threading patterns. Rectangular and square aerators are snapped into place instead of being installed with standard plumbing threads—this design does not allow Filterbaby to securely attach to your faucet. Alternative Solutions: - Install On A Different Faucet: check other faucets in your home for an alternative, Filterbaby-compatible faucet. - Swap Out Your Faucet + Claim a FREE Refill: If you choose to swap to a Filterbaby-compatible faucet, we will provide 1 FREE refill ($45 value).* Need Help Identifying Your Aerator? What should I do if my Skincare Faucet Filter is clogged or has low water pressure?

Filterbaby saves up to 25% of water while maintaining amazing water pressure. Some faucets do experience a moderate drop in water pressure as a result of Filterbaby's powerful filtration system. If you experience an immediate or sudden drop in water pressure, we've got you covered. Little to no water pressure immediately after installation? - Improper installation / Hidden leak: Check for leaks around the unit and under your sink. You may be using the wrong adaptor or installed your adaptor incorrectly. - Refill Installation Issue: Check your refill installation inside the filter housing. Open the filter housing cap and check to ensure that the refill is inserted in the housing cap and in the "lock" place. The housing cap is inserted into the back of the Filterbaby and closed tight. Learn more about changing filter refills here. Dropping water pressure after 30 days or less? - Excessively dirty water / highly turbid water: If your water is excessively dirty with physical contaminants or is highly turbid, your filter refill is working overtime to capture up to 99.9% of physical contaminants as small as 0.000001mm! Open your filter refill and take a look inside. If your filter is dirty, you can rinse it under cold water to expand the filter's life. Reach out to help@filterbaby.com for assistance and personalized advice on the best refill schedule for your water. Dropping water pressure after 30-90 days? - You need more frequent refill changes: Though most users only need to change their refill every 90 days, many areas with highly contaminated water need more frequent filter refill replacement. Reach out to help@filterbaby.com for assistance and personalized advice on the best refill schedule for your water. - Normal filter lifecycle: If you experience a consistent decline in water pressure, your Filterbaby is working as intended. Over time, the water pressure may be slightly reduced as your Filterbaby's refill traps more and more contaminants. That's why it is critical to replace your filter refill every 60-90 days at minimum.

What Should I Do If My Skincare Faucet Filter 2.0 is Leaking?

Leaks During Installation (Or Shortly After Installation) Leaks during or shortly after installation are typically due to improper installation. For the best assistance and video examples, watch our 3-minute installation video for more information. Common Causes For Leaks During Installation Here are the most common causes for leaks during or shortly after installation—and how to solve them: - Crooked Adaptor: If your adaptor is installed at an angle it is likely to cause a leak. Reinstall it straight using the convenient adaptor key in the box. - Missing Silicone Ring: All adaptors are pre-loaded with either a clear or black silicone ring. Check your adaptor to ensure the ring is present. If you are missing a ring, you can take one from a similar sized adaptor in the box or even use your original aerator's silicone ring. - Wrong Adaptor/Loose Adaptor: If your adaptor is not a snug fit or is unable to twist 4-5 times during install, your adaptor may be loose. Check the adaptor one size up to see if it's a better fit. - Missing Plumber's Tape: If the adaptor you matched is the closed fit and installed straight but still leaking, add plumber's tape. Wrap the plumber's tape around the adaptor threads 2-3 times and reinstall. - Damaged Adaptor: During installation if your adaptor's threads are damaged or shredded, reach out to help@filterbaby.com for a replacement. - Loose Filter Housing Cap: Check the filter housing cap where you change the filter refill. The refill should be inserted in the housing cap and in the "lock" place. The housing cap is inserted into the back of the Filterbaby and closed tight. Learn more about changing filter refills here. Leaks After Installation Leaks that start after installation are typically due to overdue refill changes or maintenance. Common Causes For Leaks After Installation Here are the most common causes for leaks after installation—and how to solve them: - Overdue Filter Refill Changes: Your refill must be change every 60-90 days at minimum. If your water is highly contaminants, it may need to be changed more often. When your refill is overdue for a change and is very full of contaminants, it may cause a water pressure build up that results in a leak. Change your refill to resolve the leak. - Adaptor Gradually “Uninstalled”: Overtime and with use—particularly if you swivel or move the unit—the adaptor may loosen. Remove your Skincare Faucet Filter from the attachment nut. Retighten the adaptor with the adaptor key and reinstall. If the leek persists, uninstall the unit and adaptor completely and reinstall. - Mesh Screen Clog: Remove your Skincare Faucet Filter from the attachment nut. Remove the white stopper. Under the white stopper, there is a fine mesh screen that captures large physical contaminants. Rinse the screen and reinstall. If the screen is particularly dirty, soak it in a 1:1 dilution of vinegar and hot water and rinse again for installation. - Overdue Cleaning / Maintenance: Your Skincare Faucet Filter needs regular maintenance to operation at peak performance. Wipe down the unit with water soap water regularly, including the spouts and the threads of the housing cap. Leak Under The Sink? Leaks under the sink are very uncommon and are typically due to installation issues—particularly for the special "extender" adaptor. If your Skincare Faucet Filter is leaking under the skin, please uninstall your Skincare Faucet filter and reinstall following steps in our 3-minute installation guide. Still Leaking? We’ve Got You If you are still experiencing a leak after checking your installation and/or replacing your filter refill, we’re here for you.
